Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E” is an upcoming competitive online top-down multiplayer shooter game from Ubisoft, based on the universe of the animated series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. While details about the game are still emerging, it is expected to draw heavily from the series’ cyberpunk, retro-futuristic world inspired by Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E integrates blockchain technology (Ethereum via layer 2 Arbitrum) to record and secure ownership of digital assets earned or purchased by players. The G.A.M.E operates on the Eden Online ecosystem to enable decentralized governance (DAO). As with the series, The G.A.M.E. is expected to blend elements from various Ubisoft properties, offering fans a crossover experience with characters and settings from multiple franchises, all wrapped in the signature 80s-inspired, neon-drenched aesthetic of Blood Dragon.
Details such as gameplay mechanics, release dates, and platforms have not been fully revealed yet. Keep an eye out for more information from Ubisoft as development progresses.
Blockchain Integration
Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E integrates blockchain technology (Ethereum via layer 2 Arbitrum) to enable decentralized governance, giving the community direct influence over the game’s updates each season. This governance system operates through a layer called Eden Online, which functions as the decision-making platform for the game. Eden Online is limited to 10,000 seats for “citizenship,” meaning only 10,000 players can participate in this decentralized governance process at any given time. Citizenship is granted through ID cards, which serve as proof-of-citizenship. These ID cards are implemented as blockchain-based NFT assets, giving holders the right to vote on key game decisions, such as updates, new features, or seasonal content changes.
Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E isn’t open source. While ownership of digital assets and governance are decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.

- Skins: No confirmations yet but NFT-backed character and weapon skins are expected to be made available.
