Axie Adventure introduces a new Passive PvE mode in Homeland, replacing NPC adventurers with player-owned NFT axies and introducing several new mechanics.
The world of Axie Infinity expands once again with the introduction of Axie Adventure, a new mode within Homeland that allows players to enlist their own NFT axies in the game’s Passive PvE Adventure mode. This update replaces the former NPC adventurers, offering a more strategic and skill-based experience, where players can climb leaderboards and earn in-game rewards like AXP and more.
Axie Adventure Overview
Homeland, a land-based game where players build settlements, gather resources, and craft items using NFT axies, has taken a major step forward. Previously, the game’s Passive PvE Adventure mode only featured NPC adventurers with randomized outcomes. Now, Axie Adventure lets players send their NFT axies into battle, introducing new game mechanics such as Combat Quality, Adventure Fatigue, and Power Rate. These mechanics add depth to gameplay and give more utility to collectible axies.
The introduction of this mode allows for more strategy in choosing which axies to enlist. Different axie classes, such as Plant, Bird, and Reptile, will have specialized abilities. Combat levels, determined by an axie’s core level and a plot’s Altar of Atia level, will influence how powerful an axie can become in battle.
Mechanics Breakdown
Several new mechanics are at the heart of Axie Adventure. Here’s a closer look at the main stats:
- Combat Quality: A combat stat modifier that increases based on the evolved rating of an axie’s parts. The higher an axie’s evolved rating, the greater its combat quality, resulting in stronger overall performance.
- Adventure Fatigue: A stamina system limiting how often an axie can participate in adventures per day. Adventure Fatigue resets daily, preventing overuse of axies.
- Power Rate: Represents the strength of an axie based on its stats and equipment. Power Rate impacts a player’s ability to progress through plots, which in turn increases the number of Battle Tickets available for future adventures.
Players can enlist up to 100 axies at a time, with each battle consuming one Battle Ticket. Axies that enter battle will be unavailable until their adventure ends, with a cooldown period of up to 10 minutes before they can be reused.
Rewards and Leaderboard
Players can earn rewards through two avenues this week: the new Axie Adventure Leaderboard and the Moonfall Chest Overflow event. The leaderboard ranks players based on the number of stages cleared by their axies, with the top 200 finishers receiving Ancient Coins and others earning Gold and various items. Leaderboard rankings are determined by plot-based performance rather than account-based scores, meaning plot progression plays a key role in success.
The Moonfall Chest Overflow event will double the number of available chests, offering additional rewards. This event will run from October 17 to October 31, 2024, providing an extra incentive for players to dive into the new mode.
AXP and Axie Delegation
Axies participating in Axie Adventure will also earn AXP (experience points), which can be used to level up their abilities. AXP earnings depend on factors like enemy type, plot progression, and combat quality. Players can also expect new strategies to emerge with the addition of Axie Delegation, a feature allowing players to borrow powerful NFT axies to help climb the leaderboard.
With Axie Adventure now live, Axie Infinity continues to evolve, blending new gameplay mechanics with its established axie economy. As the adventure unfolds, players will have more ways to engage with their axies and compete for top rewards, making the Homeland experience more dynamic than ever.
