Trinity of the Fabled is a free-to-play Soulslike action RPG for PC (Windows), built on Unreal Engine 5 by Pontifex. The game offers players an immersive journey through realms corrupted by a chaotic entity known as the Abyss. Players guide their Fabled characters—drawn from divine beings, demons, or human warriors—through challenging levels where portals to the Abyss have been opened. As they explore, they face numerous enemies and collect rare items. This game employs blockchain technology (Ethereum) to record and secure ownership of in-game assets such as NFTs (e.g. weapons, items) and cryptocurrency ($ABYS).
Game Features
- Multiple Biomes: Set in a universe fractured by a cataclysm, players explore multiple realms.
- Combat Variety: Players can use different weapon types, such as bows for ranged combat and swords for melee.
- Arena Events: Competitive combat events that allow players to test their skills and earn rewards, with a global leaderboard.
- Seasons: New worlds, characters, weapons, and items are introduced each season.
- AI-Driven NPCs: Complex NPC interactions, with branching dialogues, where player actions can lead to alliances or enemies.
Blockchain Integration
Trinity of the Fabled features a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade most in-game digital assets (e.g. weapons, armor, items, cryptocurrency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum blockchain to record and secure transactions and ownership thereof. The game also has its own cryptocurrency, $ABYS, which serves as a medium of exchange for NFT assets minted, upgraded and traded, and as a reward token for participation in the ecosystem.
Trinity of the Fabled is not open source. While ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
Ownable (NFTs)
- Soft Mints: Items found or dropped in the game, not initially on the blockchain. These include weapons, artifacts, and other items with unique stats.
- Hard Mints: Exclusive on-chain items that exist as NFTs. These can include weapons, artifacts, and characters that are tradable or usable in special Arena Events and on NFT marketplaces.
- Weapons and Items: A wide array of NFTs, including swords, bows, rings, necklaces, amulets, and other procedurally generated items with distinct stats.
- Characters: Players can mint their characters onto the blockchain, turning them into tradable NFTs that can be used in-game and during Arena Events.
Cryptocurrency
$ABYS is the in-game cryptocurrency that powers the economy of Trinity of the Fabled. It is used as a medium of exchange for digital assets and services, and as a reward for participation in the ecosystem (through in-game achievements or staking). It is a fungible, Ethereum-based, ERC20 token limited to a total original supply of 600,000,000. The different ways to get $ABYS, outside of crypto markets, are… (read more)
