The Machines Arena (TMA) is a free-to-play, top-down, adrenaline-fueled hero shooter game for PC (Windows) and mobile (Android) by Directive Games Limited. The game integrates diverse multiplayer and single-player game modes. Players engage in intense combat, choosing from a range of heroes, each with unique abilities and weapons. The game includes both ranked and casual modes, with the ranked mode offering a seasonal competitive 4v4 player-versus-player (PvP) experience, while casual modes provide quick matches and customizable lobbies. TMA employs blockchain technology (Ethereum and Ronin) to record and secure ownership of in-game assets such as NFTs (e.g. weapons, items) and cryptocurrency ($TMA).

Blockchain Integration
The Machines Arena features a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade most in-game digital assets (e.g. character skins, companions, items, cryptocurrency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum and Ronin blockchains to record and secure transactions and ownership thereof. The game also has its own cryptocurrency, $TMA, which serves as the primary in-game currency and reward token.
The Machines Arena is not open source. While ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
Ownable (NFTs)
- Character Skins: Unique visual enhancements for heroes, available through gameplay, seasonal rewards, and minting on the Ronin Network.
- Familiars: Companion NFTs that offer stat boosts to players, such as cooldown reduction, increased health, or damage.
Cryptocurrency
$TMA is the native cryptocurrency of The Machines Arena, and is expected to play a crucial role in TMA’s digital economy.
