Shardbound is a free-to-play multiplayer collectible card game (CCG) for PC (Windows) by Bazooka Tango. Players engage in tactical battles on a tile map using customizable card decks. The game is structured around complex, turn-based matches, where players must outwit opponents through careful positioning, terrain manipulation, and unit abilities. While currently in a full Web2 release phase, Shardbound plans to introduce optional Web3 features to enhance player interaction and in-game asset ownership. This transition will be powered by Immutable’s zkEVM technology, bringing scalability and security to the game’s ecosystem.

- Fast-Paced, Strategic Matches: Shardbound’s gameplay focuses on quick tactical matches. Designed to be accessible for both casual and competitive players, the game’s fast pace keeps each session engaging and dynamic. Every match presents new challenges, as players adjust strategies and adapt to their opponents’ moves in real-time.
- Commanders and Relics: Players choose from a variety of Commanders, each with unique abilities and strategic roles. Additionally, relics—powerful items with specific game-altering effects—add another layer of strategy.
Blockchain Integration
Shardbound aims to feature a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade many in-game digital assets (e.g. cards, skins, cryptocurrency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum and Immutable zkEVM blockchains to record and secure transactions and ownership thereof.
Shardbound is not open source. While ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
