Metalcore is an upcoming free-to-play multiplayer Shooter (FPS) by Studio 369 for PC (Windows). The game is set in the year 2269 when a civil war has broken out across the solar empire. Players join one of 3 factions and fight for planetary domination. The core game features ground & air warfare, factions & guilds, gear & vehicle customization and crafting (including optional NFT creation), dynamic weather & day-night cycle, and light play to earn mechanisms, and more. Metalcore integrates blockchain technology (Ethereum, Polygon, Immutable) to record and secure ownership of digital assets earned, crafted or purchased by players, namely NFT assets (e.g. characters, skins, vehicles) and cryptocurrency. Metalcore has its own currency ($MCG) and NFT marketplace.

DocumentsMetalcore features a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade valuable in-game digital assets (e.g. characters, vehicles, mechs, currency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum blockchain (via Polygon) to record and secure transactions and ownership of said assets. Metalcore also has its own cryptocurrency, $MCG, which mostly serves as a medium of exchange for the in-game currency and as a reward token.
Metalcore isn’t open source. While ownership of digital assets are decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
