Honeyland is a free-to-play resource management and strategy game for mobile (Android, iOS) and PC (browser) by Hexagon Studios. Players can engage in missions to gather resources like honey (HXD) and shards, complete quests, and compete against others in PvP raids. Bees can also be bred to expand the hive, traded in the marketplace, and customized with unique decorations. Additional features include land ownership with passive income opportunities and access to an in-game arcade. - PvP (Player vs Player): PvP raids allow players to attack other hives in high-stakes missions, where they can win honey if successful but face risk, fostering a dynamic competitive environment.
- Land Ownership: Players have the opportunity to own land, enabling them to earn commissions from other players who gather resources there. Landowners also receive weekly shard drops and can gather resources on their land for free.

Blockchain Integration
Honeyland features a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade many game-related digital assets (e.g. characters, land, items, cryptocurrency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Solana blockchain to record and secure transactions and ownership thereof. The game also has its own cryptocurrency, $HXD, which plays a key role in the ecosystem as an in-game currency used for purchases, trading and reward distribution.
Honeyland is not open source. While ownership of digital assets may be decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
Ownable (NFTs)
- Queens: NFT representations of queens with in-game utility. Essential for colony efficiency, breeding, and exploration. Queens are upgradable from level 10 to 20, with Genesis Queens unlocking access to all biomes.
- Bees: NFT representations of worker bees with in-game utility. Worker Bees perform missions like harvesting, hunting, PvP, and quests to gather resources. Genesis Bees offer special benefits and community perks.
- Eggs: Hatchable into Bees or Queen Bees (90% and 10% chance, respectively), Eggs expand the colony when incubated in any open Honeyland biome/universe.
- Land: NFT representations of Land plots that grant ownership within Honeyland, allowing players to earn Honey tokens and other rewards through staking, leveling up, and resource gathering.
- Passes: Provide exclusive access to in-game events or features, offering unique advantages to holders.
- Accomplishments : Commemorative “Honeyland Legends” NFTs without gameplay utility but symbolizing accomplishments and milestones in the Honeyland community.
Cryptocurrency
$HXD (Honey) serves as the primary currency within Honeyland, powering its in-game economy and supporting various player activities across the Honeyverse.
