Gods Unchained is a free-to-play digital collectible card game (CCG) for PC (Windows, Mac) and Mobile (Android, iOS) by Immutable. Players use a variety of tactics to outsmart opponents in turn-based battles. The game features multiple game modes (Solo, Direct and Ranked), a card crafting feature allowing players craft higher-quality, tradable cards, and is free. Players begin with 70 unique cards alongside core cards to build decks. Additional cards may be earned through gameplay. Additionally, Gods Unchained employs blockchain technology (Ethereum/Immutable) to record and secure ownership of in-game assets such as NFTs (e.g. cards, boards, card backs) and cryptocurrency ($GODS).
Game Features
- Multiple Game Modes: Includes Solo mode (against AI), Direct Challenge (1v1 with other players via custom code), and Ranked mode (competitive matchmaking based on skill level).
- Card Crafting: Players can combine cards in the Forge to create higher-quality, tradable versions.

- Player-Owned Assets: Players can trade cards and items with others on supported marketplaces, creating a player-driven economy.
- Free-to-Play: Players start with a Welcome Set of 70 unique cards as well as Core cards, and may earn more through gameplay or trading.
Blockchain Integration
WhitepaperGods Unchained features some form of decentralized governance, where users may vote in governance decisions, and a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade many in-game digital assets (e.g. cards, boards, card backs, trinkets, cryptocurrency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum (layer 1) and Immutable X (layer 2) blockchains to record and secure transactions and ownership of said assets. The game also has its own cryptocurrency, $GODS, which serves as the primary in-game currency, and as a medium of exchange, a reward token and a governance token.
Gods Unchained is not open source. While ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
Ownable (NFTs)
- Cards: NFT cards with unique abilities, rarity, and effects. This include cards created through the in-game fusing process.
- Board skins: Cosmetic NFTs that customize the appearance of the game board where matches are played.
- Trinket skins: Cosmetic NFTs that customize the appearance of the game trinkets.
- Card backs: NFT designs that change the appearance of the back of the cards in a deck.
Cryptocurrency
$GODS is the native cryptocurrency of Gods Unchained, powering the game’s economy. The token serves as a medium of exchange for various in-game and external transactions, and is also used as an in-game reward token, a De-Fi token (staking), and a governance token.
