Chronoshot is a free-to-play, sci-fi arena third-person shooting game for PC (Windows, Mac) by RFLXT Studio. The core gameplay revolves around time manipulation, where time moves only when the player moves, allowing for strategic opportunities to set up shots, create combos, and navigate the arena. The game incorporates stages, various characters, and adaptive enemies, ensuring a dynamic and evolving experience. Additionally, Chronoshot integrates blockchain technology (Cardano) via the RFLXT platform to record and secure ownership of digital assets earned or purchased by players, namely non-P2W NFT assets (e.g. characters, skins).
Game Features
- Time Manipulation (Chrono State): The game’s key mechanic, the Chrono State, slows down time when the player stands still. This feature allows players to plan moves, assess enemy positions, and create strategic combinations while facing growing waves of enemies.
- Jetpacks and Armory Loadouts: Players are equipped with jetpacks and personalized loadouts, offering flexibility in gameplay and tactical options to dominate the leaderboard.
- Stages, Weapons, and Characters: A variety of stages, weapons, and characters are available, offering diverse gameplay experiences.
- Early Access Modes: The game currently offers two single-player modes, Survival Mode and Time Attack, each featuring leaderboards. These modes are designed to test players’ skill and strategy, with the addition of multiplayer modes under development.
- RFLXT Digital Doubles: Chronoshot is the first title on the RFLXT platform to feature Digital Doubles—characters based on real-world content creator partners. These doubles level up and unlock features as they are played and can be used across other RFLXT games.
Blockchain Integration
Chronoshot doesn’t feature decentralized governance nor a player-owned economy at this stage, but integrates blockchain technology (Cardano) to record and secure ownership of digital assets purchased or earned by players, namely NFT assets (e.g. characters, skins) that unlock additional utilities for characters but do not influence core gameplay or provide competitive advantages.
Ownable (NFTs)
- Characters: These dynamic NFTs are tied to RFLXT accounts and offer utility by enabling characters to level up in Chronoshot and other RFLXT products. Characters remain accessible to all players, but owning a dynamic NFT unlocks enhanced progression and features.
- RFLXT-Wide Utility: Dynamic NFTs hold value beyond Chronoshot, as they provide functionality in other RFLXT games, creating a unified ecosystem where progression is shared.
