Blocklords is a free-to-play, massively multiplayer player-driven medieval grand strategy RTS for PC (Windows) by MetaKing Studios. Game Features

WhitepaperBlocklords features some form of decentralized governance through the use of DAO protocols, and a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade game-related digital assets (e.g. characters, banners, cryptocurrency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum blockchains (using Immutable X and Polygon) to record and secure transactions and ownership thereof. The game also has its own cryptocurrency, $LRDS, which serves as the primary in-game currency, and as a reward and governance token.
Blocklords is not open source. While ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
Ownable (NFTs)
- Characters: Heroes are central to gameplay and play vital roles in leading squads, governing cities, and engaging in battles. Players can trade or buy Heroe NFTS on the blockchain, using them to command armies, manage resources, or shape the game world.
- Banners: Banners are crucial NFT assets with symbolic importance. They can be crafted or purchased in-game and serve multiple functions. Banners can be used to mint Unique and Legacy Heroes, contributing to player strategy by providing Learning Points, which are essential for unlocking and growing regions.
Cryptocurrency
$LRDS is the native cryptocurrency of Blocklords. It serves various roles: as an in-game currency for purchasing items, as an in-game reward token, and as a governance tool that allows players to influence game development and direction.
