Game Features

- City Building: Players develop their land plots by building infrastructures that store resources, produce items, and improve the overall efficiency of their Axies’ tasks.
- Crafting: Crafting supplies, weapons, armor, and other items is crucial to equipping native adventurers and Axies for battle. The crafting system supports both in-game survival and combat readiness.
- Trading: Players can trade resources and items with other landowners and native adventurers, using in-game currency to enhance their gameplay and acquire rare materials.
- Adventure Mode: Axies, equipped with the best available gear, are sent into automated battles against waves of monsters. Success in these battles helps advance the land plots.
- Land Customization: Players have the creative freedom to design and decorate their land plots, showcasing their style and improving the aesthetics of their properties.
- Delegation System: The game allows players to delegate Axies or land plots to others, enabling them to play using another’s assets without transferring ownership. This system allows players to earn rewards while utilizing otherwise unused resources.

Blockchain Integration
WhitepaperAxie Infinity: Homeland features some form of decentralized governance through the use of DAO protocols, and a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade many in-game digital assets (e.g. land, characters, items, cryptocurrency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum and Ronin blockchains. The game also has its own cryptocurrency, $AXS, which serves as the primary in-game currency and reward token.
Axie Infinity: Homeland is not open source. While ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
Ownable (NFTs)
- Axies: NFT creatures (and associated cards) with a wide range of traits that influence gameplay and provide benefits in-game (resources and collectibles) and in the broader Axie Infinity universe.
- Land: 90,601 plots of playable Land represented as NFTs and that can be freely traded by players (purchased/borrowed). Land can be upgraded and customized using resources collected in-game.
- Items: Non-utility NFT collectibles such as “majestic statues, mythical plants, and crafted artefacts” that are found across Lunacia over time.
Cryptocurrency
$AXS is a cryptocurrency used in the Axie Infinity ecosystem, which includes Axie Infinity: Origins. $AXS serves as a governance token, providing holders voting power in key decisions, is integrated into play-to-earn mechanics, where players can earn $AXS upon specific in-game achievements, and also serves as a medium of exchange for transactions in the Axie marketplace.
