Weekend Playtest Event for RTS Game “Immortal: Gates of Pyre” Starts Nov. 22

SunSpear Games are running their next weekend playtest for IMMORTAL: Gates of Pyre from November 22, 00:00 PT, to November 24, 23:59 PT on Steam. Free, open to all, this event provides an opportunity for players to experience the latest updates in the game’s development.

Web3 Integration in IMMORTAL: Gates of Pyre

The team at SunSpear Games has also introduced optional web3 features into IMMORTAL: Gates of Pyre, designed to enhance the experience for web3-friendly players who choose to opt in. These features focus on “Artifacts,” NFT-based items that provide digital ownership capabilities.

Players who do not enable Web3 features using the Steam version will not be at a disadvantage. For Steam users, the experience will remain almost identical to the web3 version, with one minor distinction: the non-Steam version may include a toggle labeled “Enable Artifacts.” When activated, a button becomes available to transform standard items into NFTs. Outside of this setting, the gameplay remains exactly the same across both versions.

The Web3 integration is powered by Immutable’s zkEVM blockchain, which ensures security, scalability, and seamless transactions. This optional addition underscores SunSpear’s commitment to player-centered design, blending innovative blockchain technology with a robust strategy gaming experience.
