Wanderers is a free-to-play sci-fi roguelite game for PC (Windows/Mac) by Blowfish Studios. Players hack, slash, shoot, and dash through a procedurally generated universe dominated by a colossal artificial Wormhole. Players control Wandernaut avatars, utilizing unique deck-building mechanics to unlock RAM cards—digital remnants of memories that upgrade abilities during each run. The game also features an epic campaign mode, where players unlock characters, weapons, and skills while progressing through the story. Wanderers employs blockchain technology (Ethereum, Polygon) to record and secure ownership of in-game assets such as NFTs (e.g. characters, cards, items) and cryptocurrency ($WANDER).

Blockchain Integration
Wanderers features a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade most in-game digital assets (e.g. characters, cards, items, cryptocurrency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Ethereum blockchain (using Polygon) to record and secure transactions and ownership thereof. The game also has its own cryptocurrency, $WANDER, which mostly serves as a mode of payment and a reward token within the Wanderers economy.
Wanderers is not open source. While ownership of digital assets is decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.
