Earth From Another Sun (EFAS) is an upcoming free-to-play open-galaxy MMORPG and FPS by Multiverse for PC (Windows). The story unfolds within the Kepler 452 star system, to our Solar System, Players. The core game features a galaxy with several star systems and their planets, coop & solo campaigns, large scale ground & air warfare, a dynamic NPC world, user created content, and more. EFAS integrates blockchain technology (Solana) to record and secure ownership of digital assets earned, crafted or purchased by players, namely NFT assets (e.g. characters, skins, vehicles) and cryptocurrency. Earth From Another Sun has its own currencies ($KPL, $EFAS), NFT marketplace, and decentralized autonomous organization(s) (DAO).

Game Features

  • Open-World Galaxy:  Players explore planets, star systems, and stations, and can make allies, pledge service to another faction, or create their own independent nation.
  • Multiplayer Coop: Players can team up with up to 3 other friends or strangers to take on a variety of lairs and battlefields across the galaxy. More coop modes to be added include 10-person strongholds and Xeno lair raids.
  • Ground & Air Warfare: Players can pilot a variety of vehicles types: hoverbikes, tanks, rovers, mechs, fighter crafts, assault vessels, space fortresses.
  • Action FPS: Players have access to hundreds of gun mods, powers, gadgets, and passives.
  • Large-Scale Battles: Up to 1000 individual units may be supported on a single battlefield.
  • Dynamic AI NPCs: Non-player characters are controlled by the Ascendance AI system to generate complex relationships and unpredictable outcomes so that the game world may evolve independently of player actions.
  • User-Created Content: Development tools are provided to create and add new content to the game world, such as adventure events and mini-stories.

Blockchain Integration

Earth From Another Sun features decentralized governance through DAO protocols, and a partially player-owned economy where players can effectively own and trade valuable in-game digital assets (e.g. characters, vehicles, skins, currency) outside of the game, using smart contracts built on the Solana blockchain to record and secure transactions and ownership of said assets. Earth From Another Sun also has its own cryptocurrencies, $KPL, which mostly serves as a medium of exchange for various assets and services in-game, and $EFAS, which serves as a decentralized governance token.
Earth From Another Sun isn’t currently open source. While ownership of digital assets are decentralized and secured on the blockchain, users may not be able to run the game in the event that its online service is prematurely shut down.

Ownable (NFTs)

  • Cosmetics/Skins: NFT cosmetics include Character Exo-Suits, Weapon Skins, Armor Skins, Troop Skins, Spaceship Skins, Vehicle Skins, Hoverbike Skins, and Officer Skins.
  • Companions: NFT characters that players may craft or acquire through special in-game events to keep them company and combat assistance.
  • Vehicles: NFT vehicles (e.g. hoverbikes, tanks, rovers, mechs) that may purchased, earned or crafted in-game.
  • Gear: NFT weapons and armor that may purchased, earned or crafted in-game.
  • Troops: NFT-backed soldiers from organic, cyborg, human and alien races that players can purchase or earn in-game to aid in combat.
